The Bill of Rights?
This is not a book about understanding the Constitution of the United States. It is a paraphrased version of the Bill of Rights and does not even have the decency to fully explain how each right came into being and the reasoning behind including them as the first ten amendments to the constitution. Not worth wasting money on. I was expecting a detailed explanation of the articles of the constitution like it stated in the description.
The United States Constitution, no addenda, active index
Having just quickly perused all 44 pages of this USA e-book, just want to point out that this version of The United States Constitution is not annotated. It does have an excellent live index, very useful.
Great history
To often this constitution is NOT followed and ppl are fed BS, lies an a left wing narrative to appease the direction of the left and rewrite history to their narrative. Reading brings to recall many of the struggles many have had over the years. The basic truth we held as a nation. It is refreshing to come back to.
The Constitution - every one needs to read and BE FAMILIAR with it
The Constitution is essential reading and study including the historical setting - if you don't know what it says [not what someone else says it says] then you are lost at following politics and can't understand the law. And you certainly won't e able to stand up and defend it!
Our Legal System
All citizens of the United States should be required, through public education, to take a class on US Government, thereby exposing them to their basic rights as citizens of this country. It should be noted that the first 10 Amendments of the constitution are also listed as The Bill of Rights.
Rate the U.S. Constitution - An Interesting Idea
Thanks, Amazon, for enabling everyone with a connected device to have immediate access to the Constitution. Every U.S. citizen should carefully read and understand this document. Written almost 230 years ago, in the historical context, language and writing style of that time, I found it helpful to refer a scholarly, politically neutral and easy to understand study of the Constitution. Here is best I found; "The U.S. Constitution And Fascinating Facts About It". The Constitution... Read it. Understand it. Be a better citizen.
What I like the most is being able to read this important ...
What I like the most is being able to read this important document on my Kindle. There really isn't anything to dislike about something that is ordained and established "in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty for ourselves and our posterity."
The U.S. Constitution - The Paper Our Nation is Based On
The Constitution was developed and written as a guideline in how to do run this country. The founders believed the no man or woman would not be treated equally. The words were written with truth, honesty and the new American way. However, after many years and amendments the guide has almost become the document the founder wrote.....DEHS
Best ever!
Even though I found it to be vague at times, I've been very happy with the United States Constitution. It can be altered if need be and even though it's over 140 years old, it still seems to be working fine.
Such Brilliant Architects
The Bill of Rights makes me get all choked up. How can any student graduate high school without a full semester just on Our Constitution. It is the foundation of what it means to be American. Obviously a MUST READ!
